Gapman, who rose to prominence with his single "Trapalot," has become a promising figure in the French trap scene. Influenced by the rap landscapes of Atlanta, Memphis, and Maryland, he honed his style in Lille, in the north of France. After starting with plugg in 2018, he transitioned to a more melodic trap sound.

In 2022, alongside friends Dafliky, 2C, and STO, he revitalized francophone trap. In 2023, he teamed up with producer Binks Beatz to release "Prochaine Chèvre," featuring the notable track "21" with 8ruki. Highlighted by Booska-P as an artist to watch, 2024 is set to be Gapman's breakthrough year.
